where the tiny becomes

truly grand

Why do I dive into the tiny? Because the world is far more magical than we give it credit for. There is a breathtaking energy in the curve of a petal and the structure of a wing that feels like finding a treasure map in my own backyard. Finding these new elements—the depth, the color, the impossible detail—is what fuels my soul and turns every morning into a grand adventure.

from horizons

to hidden worlds

For over twenty years, my lens was fixed on the vastness of the horizon. As a landscape photographer, I lived for the trek, the heavy pack, and the sweeping vistas. But when a shoulder injury made traveling and hauling gear impossible, the world I knew suddenly felt out of reach.

Photography wasn't just my career; it was my pulse. Refusing to let go of my passion, I began searching for a new way to see. That search led me to Macro photography, and it quite literally saved my sanity.

I traded miles of hiking for inches of dirt, discovering that there is an entire universe of wonder right at my feet. Today, I use the same technical precision I honed over decades in the field to reveal the breathtaking complexity of the tiny. I’ve found that you don’t have to travel far to find something grand—sometimes, you just have to look a little closer.
